The federal government has given Disney $21.6 million AU for financial incentives in order for them to start production on the new movie. While the offer form the Australian federal government it's still not enough money for Disney, it's believed that they could reach their target by approaching state governments for funding. “The government is pleased to agree to Disney's request to enable earlier funding to be re-purposed for the production of Pirates of the Caribbean 5” although Disney is still not convinced of shoot in Australia, there are reports that they are considering filming Mexico - where Titanic was filmed. Pirates of the Caribbean 5 are expected to begin production early next year and release some time in 2017.
